How to Work the Fern Stitch:
To work the stitch, bring the needle up through the fabric at the lower left, and insert the needle to the diagonal right. Bring the needle up again horizontally from the insertion point and insert the needle in the ending point of the stitch you just made. Take a diagonal stitch top to lower right into the ending point of the 2 stitches previously made.
You will have 3 stitches radiating from one space. Repeat to the desired length of the line you are stitching.
