The list and photos below contain links to the free patterns and projects featured here on the NeedleKnowledge® site, featuring a variety of needlework types and skill levels. The free patterns are arranged by project type, including traditional hand embroidery, needlepoint and canvas projects, cross stitch and counted thread, and patterns for quilting and sewing projects.

    Yes I had tried to download the stars pillow pattern. No luck what can I do?

      I tried it and it worked for me. Do you have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your system, or are you on a slow connection (like dial-up?)? It’s a very large file.
      It could also be due to a security setting with your browser or antivirus software. Please email me if you still have difficulty and I will email back a PDF.

    I’m confused – these patterns are listed as free patterns but they have a copyright notification that says you need permission to copy them. Can I legally copy them or not???

      The designs are indeed copyrighted, and should not be copied/printed/re-posted or distributed, although you may print a copy for your own use. It’s no different than buying a book – you may use the designs to stitch your own item, but you may not re-post, print copies for your friends, or sell the pattern or design.
