The first in the series is this Valentine’s Day Party Dress, with a wide pink sash and an over-skirt embroidered with pink rosebuds. Basic embroidery stitches including stem stitch, satin stitch, French knots and detached chain stitch were used in my stitched version of the design.
Upcoming patterns will feature a breezy sailor dress for summer, a cozy jumper for Autumn, and a pretty Holiday dress for Winter. Each free pattern is provided full-size – I have tips for printing patterns here.
I’m enjoying stitching this series so much that I may add a few more dresses, just for fun.
Each design fits a standard 3×5″ opening, making them easy to mat and frame as a set, or individually. They would look so cute framed and hung on the wall of a little girl’s room. Instead of matting them, they would also look super sweet mounted in wooden embroidery hoops and hung on the wall, or finished as small toss pillows.
You can find this – and other free patterns – on the Free Patterns and Projects page.
