My newest book, Embroidery Basics has been published by Stackpole Books and is now available. This is my 12th title – that makes a full dozen!
Yep, I’ve been around a while… I started my design career back in the 1980’s and was mostly into quilting, but like many of you, embroidery is my first love. You can read more about myhow-to history here.
Copies of Embroidery Basics are available through Amazon.com, directly from the publisher’s site, at many local needlework stores and through other major booksellers.
Select any of the 17 patterns using a wide variety of stitching techniques – cross stitch, freestyle surface embroidery, drawn thread, counted thread and others – and start stitching!
Complete directions are given, as are stitch diagrams and full-size patterns for all items featured in the book. Stitch a perky owl on a custom-fitted tablet cover, stitch bands and borders on linens and kitchen items, embroider a sampler in several different techniques, or create decorations for several major holidays.
Many of the patterns featured in the book are perfect for stitchers on the go – tuck your supplies in your handbag or tote, and bring your stitching along while commuting or traveling.
Review copies available – and you can also read Mary Corbett’s review of Embroidery Basics.
My next book – Simply Samplers – is being released during the summer of 2014.
