As I’ve been pulling together materials to launch the needlepoint section of The Stitches page, I’ve come to the realization that I am truly addicted to needlework.
I don’t even have a favorite needlework type or technique – I love them all. Truly this has to be a stitching addiction, and I’m not normal in any way, shape or form.
When I’m not stitching needlework projects, I’m stitching samples.
Sometimes I’m just trying out a stitch or seeing how it looks in a certain type of thread or in multiple colors – like the samples shown here.
This is just the top of the pile of needlepoint samples I’ve been tinkering with over the past few years… there’s much, much more where these came from. I have hundreds (30 years’ worth) of these little samples, tucked in boxes in my miniscule office, safely stored for some future use or reference in zip-top bags.
I think I need a bigger office…
